Extreme Group received the Best in Show award for the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission of Newfoundland for the Work Safe TV campaign at this year’s annual ICE Awards. This is the third time in a row time we've taken home this award. Held on Thursday night, the ICE Awards recognize the region’s best advertising and design.
Extreme Group also took home other awards for work done with the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Touch of Gold and Golf Cape Breton. Extreme Group received 13 awards in total: two gold, three silver, six merits, the Craft award for copy writing and Best in Show.
“We’re seeing the quality of the work in the region get better and better each year,” said Shawn King, VP and creative director at Extreme Group. “It’s good to see more work coming from more agencies than ever before. And for us, continuing to have our work in the mix and coming out on top is a testament to our people, our culture and our beliefs. We’re pretty excited with our showing this year and I’m proud of our team and our clients for everything they’ve accomplished.”
The 2008 ICE Awards represent the seventh year for Atlantic Canada’s advertising creative awards show. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the ICE Awards bring advertising agencies and clients from around the region together to vie for the coveted Nova Scotian Crystal ICE Buckets. The goal of the ICE Awards is to celebrate and increase the quality of creative advertising produced in Atlantic Canada.
