Quiznos Turns up the Heat with Extreme Group

Quiznos, one of North America’s leading QSRs (quick service restaurants), has hired Extreme Group to be their Canadian Agency of Record. Extreme Group will be handling all of Quiznos’ national advertising efforts through their recently opened Toronto office.

“Extreme Group showed that a big creative idea doesn’t need to come from a big agency,” notes Quiznos Canada’s Director of Marketing, Kyle Holmes. Further explaining his decision to sign on with a smaller, nimble agency, Holmes quipped, “We make unreasonable advertising requests within unreasonable timelines,” adding, “I’ll be able to sleep at night knowing Extreme Group can handle it. They, too, are a lean company with a tight group of people who know how to balance work with fun and play, and I look forward to building the business with them.”

Explaining the genesis of the relationship Paul Leblanc, CEO and founder of Extreme Group, said, “What started out as chats over beers has lead to a great relationship together. Quiznos gave us a couple of projects to test the waters together and this has led to a full-blown AOR relationship.”

Extreme’s first assignment out of the gate is the development of Direct Mail and Online to support the important launch of Quiznos’ new 13-inch value subs – Torpedoes. Quiznos is also in the midst of launching a nation-wide delivery program, which will bring with it another important advertising assignment.

Quiznos’ previous AOR was Ogilvy & Mather, Toronto.
