See the Difference a Day Makes

Grand & Toy is taking a leadership position on sustainable business practices by asking its customers to switch from next-day to a 48-hour delivery option. Implementing the new system reduces the company’s overall carbon footprint and improves order quality by streamlining and shortening delivery routes.

After decades of a “next-day or it’s free” consumer mentality, Grand & Toy faced a big challenge in customer participation in its new eco-standard option. Partnering with Extreme Group, they launched a campaign on the basis of “effortless activism” that depicts office supplies engaged in typical activist behaviour such as being chained to trees. The ads aim to show how Grand & Toy customers can make small changes in their business that will have big environmental benefits. Print ads will appear in the Globe and Mail and online ads on globeandmail.com throughout the month of June. Select delivery trucks will also be wrapped in the campaign’s messaging.

“Environmental responsibility isn’t just an option anymore. Grand & Toy is pioneering ways to offer clients simple, effective ways to run their businesses as sustainably as possible,” says Michael Armstrong, VP, Managing Director at Extreme Group. “People always say that it’s amazing what a difference a day makes and this time it’s very true.”
