Clare loves nothing more than translating an insight into results. Facilitating an environment that leads to strategically effective creative is her mission. She does this by making the line between agency and client blur – a trick she picked up by splitting her career between the two sides.
After attaining a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Allison University and a Masters in International Marketing in Glasgow, Scotland – Clare broke her way into agency life. Nova Scotia was Clare’s first client and she spent 2 years as the Account Executive on the Tourism file, working to attract people to the Province.
Leaving the agency world after a few successful years, Clare moved to the client-side where she’s spent the balance of her career. In a major international IT company, with offices here in Nova Scotia, Clare focused on educating the sales force and convincing people of the value of technology to their business.
Most recently, as Director of Marketing & Sponsorship for the Halifax 2011 Canada Games (for whom Extreme Group was the AOR), Clare and her team generated $10M in revenues, including $8.2M in sponsorship. The strategic marketing led to the shattering of pre-existing awareness and attendance records.
At Extreme Group, Clare works with all clients on the agency’s roster, and particularly in the early phases of planning for accounts. She knows what it’s like to be the client and what’s on the line. She’ll make that transition seamless.
